An offseason with never ending news and speculation

The 2014 NFL regular season is fast approaching but not without much news in the offseason. This has been a football feast of awesomeness with seemingly daily surprises of player comings and goings.

The Vikes organization has been giving fans so much to talk about with all the signings of their own.

The player’s news is fun to watch for but there are also some happenings to look for in the near future.

The Vikes had come into the offseason at 75:1 odds to win the Super Bowl and now after the first wave of signings the odds have gone up to 66:1.

It’s being reported and I will verify as it closer that the Vikings draft party which will be on May 8th     and will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center which is a place I have never been in. If this is the case I look forward to a new memory.

I have attended Draft Parties at Mall of America, Winter Park and Mall of America Field. The Mall of America was my least favorite due to the fact of so many people that were shoppers and not for the Draft Party. It was so hard to walk through. I loved Winter Park and Mall of America Field. It is even better as a Vikings season ticket holder that we get free tickets to the event.

The next event for something to keep an eye on and that is the Vikes minicamp. They are normally held at Winter Park but this year the speculation being reported in a Charlie Walters column that one of the mini camps will be held at TCF Bank Stadium. The fact that excites me is fans may be allowed to come and watch. I would love not having to wait until late July, early August to see my favorite team in person. This is not confirmed yet, just info for us to keep an eye on.

Thanks for reading
